Search question

I've been looking at old messages, using the search function. I'm looking for restaurant recommendations (yes, I know about the restaurant reviews) and in the midst of writing down some recommendations realized the message was from 2008. The message above was from 2013 and the one below from 2010. Is there a secret to the order of messages when one uses the search function? They didn't appear to be alphabetical by title.

Thank you Jonathan. I never do any "advanced" anything on a computer - never know what might happen. But in this case, I'm giving it a try.
