It's time for another Italy Photohunt!

Here are the guidelines: You select one of your own photos to post that in some way utilizes the topic. Use the topic as a concrete prompt, or find a novel approach. Each person, just one post/photo per thread topic, (or two if you must)please. Photos should be resized to be no wider than 600 pixels. Too-large photos slow down the loading of the thread, and will be deleted. Read about how to post a photo in a thread, here. If you have an idea for a photo hunt topic, contact one of the Mods to offer the suggestion instead of beginning another thread.

Posting photos in the thread gives your permission for SlowTrav to eventually move the photos over to Photohunt albums in the
    SlowPhotos Galleries.

    This week's prompt is "Circle"

You're encouraged to describe your photo--where you shot it, details of what you were doing or what was going on, etc.

Two circular windows: The one on the left (stone wall) is (I think) Chiesa San Nicola di Bari. The one straight on is (I think) Chiesa San Giovanni Battista. Photo taken in Pescocostanzo AQ, Abruzzo in July 2003. These are circa 16th century buildings. Pescocostanzo has ten churches (mostly very small ones) in a town of only 1300. Some are museums or other types today only such as San Giovanni Battista (Museo delle Origini) and San Nicola (conference and Cultural activity center). In fact San Giovanni always served additional functions such as being a hospital even as early as the 16th century.
Pescocostanzo is a popular ski resort today and only about 1.5 hours via (mostly) autostrada from Rome. One of Abruzzo's treasures.

I found this athlete with a ball in Rome while I was exploring on foot. I can't remember the street but I loved that they seemed somehow contemporary and ready for action.
