    Due to my dislike/distrust of PayPal I procrastinated about renewing my membership.....but I missed you guys!

    I renewed yesterday. The transaction was completed but I am still not able to access the gold member forums.

    Would one of the moderators check this please.....is there something else I should do?

    Another procrastinator here! My membership expired 4/1 but because I was out of town I did not renew it until today.

    I also find that I cannot access the Gold Star Forums. I assume that's because it takes a certain period of time for the information to get back to Slow Travel from PayPal, right?

    In any event, do you have a general idea of how long it takes to get access again? Thanks.

    Yes, Mary because a large part of the process is now manual, it can take until the next business day for your membership to be activated.

    How does one determine the date when we need to renew?
    I don't want my blogging to get messed up on my trip so I would like to know.

    Hi Jan,

    People can email me or send me a PT and I can tell when their memberships are expiring. Plus, they will receive an email during the month prior to expiration (usually 2 weeks out), to let them know.

    Yours is fine.

    Hi there! Well, my membership seems to have expired while I'm traveling. I received a PM today which I could read but was not allowed to respond to.

    There was so much going on in my life pre-departure (including email problems) that it is possible I received the notice but it went into junk mail? In any case, I'm now on the road using my travel email account, so I bet I'll just be shut out until I get home to check my main account.

    I don't want you to think I'm ignoring you
    I certainly want to renew ( I already miss my little yellow star ) but as I don't have a paypal account, and I really don't care to have
    one, I guess I'll deal with my renewal in late June......
