3 nights south of Frankfurt
It seems Heidelberg hotels are very popular and tend to fill up fast as far out as the first part of September. So, question is, where to look for accommodations nearby. We are on our way to the Alsace but our apartment will not be ready for us until a few days after we fly in. A chance to explore a tiny bit of Germany.
We will have a car so can be flexible. Any suggestions will be welcome.

B&B
We have talked and think it would be great if we could locate a B&B somewhere in the area. Would have added to the first post but seems too late to edit.

David & Susan,
Note that Internet Brands has discontinued support of the Slow Travel site and message board. They were to have shut down the boards in March but haven't. Anyway, you're advised to repost on founder Pauline's Slow Europe boards; most active members have moved there: https://www.sloweurope.com/community/
