Yes we're going to a party, party!!
Join us April 4-5-6th 2008 in Savannah Georgia for the FIRST Great Slow Travel Gathering! We have regional Get Togethers (GTGs) and GTGs in Europe, but the west coast people never get to meet the east coast people, so we decided to have a big GTG - a gathering - of up to 150 Slow Travelers. Registration opened last month and we have over 65 people registered. It will be a three day event in historic Savannah, with group dinners/parties on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday brunch.
We created a section on the SlowTrav site with online registration, accommodations and restaurant recommendations and travel information.
There is a forum on the message board with lots more information about the Gathering and Savannah.
A few of our "regulars" formed a committee and are making all the plans for us: kaydee (Kathy), Sheena, Leslie Erickson, jgk (Jan), Teaberry (Terry), Palma.
This is shaping up to be a great party!
